Innovatrics Meets iBeta Presentation Attack Detection Standards

Innovatrics has successfully passed iBeta Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) conformance testing of its passive liveness check.

Capable of assessing the liveness detection of the user from a single frame, it functions fully on-device (mobile or desktop) even without server processing. The corresponding photos stay in the user’s device, which makes personal data protection easier for GDPR compliance and others.

During iBeta testing, the passive liveness check was subjected to 1800 spoofing attempts, and every single one failed to deceive it. More impressively, all of the genuine attempts were recognized by the algorithm.

The technology is a part of Innovatrics’ digital onboarding solution that provides all the tools necessary for remote client onboarding in compliance with KYC regulations. It does not only check the identity of a customer using a highly accurate facial recognition algorithm, but it is also able to read IDs to make the whole process as seamless for the user as possible. The tests prove that the algorithm is fully in accordance with ISO 30107-3 standard for presentation attack detection.

Developed to use just a single frame to assess liveness, the passive liveness check can be used as a verification factor for easily performing selfie login or payment confirmation within an app. Due to its small footprint, it can readily be incorporated into mobile applications of financial and other service providers without bloating the file size.
